Control Union Certifications Germany is seeking a commercially minded and strategically oriented individual to join us as a full-time Finance Business Partner. Ideally, you are a qualified accountant with solid experience in financial planning, business partnering, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business performance.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior leaders and their teams
  • Conduct in-depth analyses and provide actionable insights to evaluate business opportunities
  • Develop strategic options and scenarios to support informed decision-making
  • Perform market research and trend analysis to support corporate strategy
  • Present financial metrics, annual forecasts, and budget variance reports with a focus on identifying risks and opportunities
  • Challenge existing processes to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency improvements
  • Support year-end closing with accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Collaborate with project teams and key stakeholders to resolve conflicts and operational challenges
  • Analyze cost drivers and translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders

 

Your profile

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, controlling, or business partnering
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and working with DATEV
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel between our German offices is a must
