Biopark e.V.
Biopark e.V. is a private organic farming association for organic farming and is valid alongside certification in accordance with the EU Organic Farming Regulation. The Biopark standard goes beyond the legal requirements. After successful auditing and certification, members of the association may use the Biopark trademark to advertise their own products.

About the standard
The organic association was founded in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1991 and is of particular interest to agricultural businesses. Today, around 600 companies operate according to the Biopark guidelines. In addition to farmers, this also includes processing companies such as bakeries, mills and butchers.
‘Harmonising agriculture and nature conservation’ is Biopark’s concept.
The areas covered by Biopark are as follows:
-
Animal husbandry
-
Cereal and potato cultivation
-
Cultivation of fruit and vegetables
-
Cultivation of permanent crops
-
Mushroom cultivation
Nature conservation
Nature conservation plays a central role at Biopark and many of the agricultural businesses farm land in nature and landscape conservation areas. The guidelines also require the entire farm to be converted, the animals to be allowed to roam and graze, and the farm to use its own feed.

How you benefit
